UT2004 Sound Fix (Unofficial) - UT2004 and America`s Army directional sound fix

UT2004 Sound Fix is an unofficial patch that fixes an issue with directional sound issues in the Unreal Tournament 2004 engine used in the America’s Army game as well. These problems exist even in the 3204 and 3229 engine releases. Unlike previous OpenAL library patches, this one doesn’t break VOIP (voice over IP).

To install, backup your copy of Unreal Tournament 2004 application first. Then CONTROL-click on the application icon of UT2004 to “Show Package Contents.” Then replace the openal.dylib file that currently resides in your System folder of your UT2004 .app bundle.
