Macworld has posted my Geek Factor piece, “Tiger’s secret tools,” to the Macworld web site. Now you don’t have to wait for the September issue to hit the stands. It’s a quick introduction to Core Image Fun House and Quartz Composer. You’ll apply effects to four images in Core Image Fun House, then create a simple screen saver in Quartz Composer. There’s also a sidebar noting some other buried treasures inside Tiger’s developer tools.
