Safari

Just came across this tip for speeding up Safari. This simple tip really does seem to work.

Here’s how to give Safari a quick speed boost:

  1. Quit Safari if open.
  2. Open the Terminal application.
  3. Enter this line (or copy and paste it; be sure it is entered on one line): defaults write com.apple.Safari WebKitInitialTimedLayoutDelay 0.2.
  4. Hit Return, quit Terminal, and relaunch Safari

That’s it. You should see a noticeable speed bump.
