This simple and aesthetic widget will display the sunlit portion of the Earth. The widget updates once per minute. The Earth images used by the widget are courtesy NASA and NASA’s Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS).

Now the widget allows you to lock on a specific longitude or the Sun. When locked on the Sun, the sunlit region remains centered. You can also choose to show or hide the sun icon. Now renders image much faster than previous version.

What’s New:
Version 2.1.4:

  • Changed the Moon phase icon to the current phase of the moon instead of a once-a-day icon. Phase updates once per minute. Also added the tilt of the rotation axis of the Moon to the phase icon.
