Silver Sombrero is a wicked-awesome program to randomly produce pairings for an Ultimate Frisbee tournament. The idea is based on the traditional “hat tournament,” where everyone who shows up is randomly assigned onto a team in the beginning. Silver Sombrero goes a step beyond by assigning new teams at the beginning of every round. At the end of the day, all players will have individual win/loss records, with the elite players rising to the top.

What’s New:
Version 1.3b:

Changed minimum player limit to 8, since a one-game tournament is kind of lame. Rounds 4 and 5 will now divide up top-ranked players evenly among teams, both to even out skill levels and to minimize the number of undefeated players at the end. Blank player names will be rejected, as will names over 20 characters long. Fixed rankings columns to line up properly.
