- When you select either the Web->ISBN/Barcode or Web->Basic search menu items Readerware now preloads the ISBN/Author in the search page making it much easier to look up an existing item or similar items at any supported web site.
- Readerware is now packaged with Java 1.5.0 Update 11 for Vista compatibility. Windows Vista users should make sure they download the full version to get both the Readerware and Java updates.
- Fixed a problem under Windows Vista, the database backup could fail with an access error.
- The splash screen under Windows Vista was flashing black because that is now the default desktop background color. Background color no longer set under Vista.
- Added a new backup option to include a date stamp in the backup file name. This means that by default separate backup files are now created for increased data security
- Changed backup and restore wizard instructions and error messages to include more specific information on any problems.
- The default database and backup file locations are now in your Documents folder under both Windows and Mac OS X. This will affect new installations only, users with existing preferences will continue to see their current folder selections.
- The report writer now checks the report exclude option and omits records excluded from reports.
- The report writer now includes an ISBN-13 tag so you can include both ISBN-10 and ISBN-13 in your output.
- The report writer now creates the temporary report file outside of the installation directory.
- The Web->Display at menu item was not always enabled after an ISBN search.
- A problem exporting certain columns to an iPod is fixed.
- The Delete button was sometimes enabled incorrectly when the database was in read only mode.
- Fixed a problem with Edit menu items not always in the correct state.
- When exporting the ISBN-13 column the hyphens are now removed.
- Fixed an exception that could occur after opening a new database and then using drag and drop.
- Text that is too big to display in an entry field is now left aligned. It used to be right aligned so that the beginning of the field was truncated instead of the end.
