OS X Tip: Creating Custom Keyboard Shortcuts Gallery: San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers
May 22

The shortcut to rotate a photo in iPhoto is Command-R (to rotate counter clockwise, press Shift-Command-R), but you can also press the Option key to reverse the direction of the Rotate button in the bottom left of the iPhoto window. Pressing the Option key also switches the Plus (+) button at the bottom left from “Create a new album, Smart Album, book, or slideshow,” to “Create a Smart Album.”

Note that you can also change the default direction of the Rotate button in iPhoto’s General preferences.
