iComic is an upgraded version of iBert, a program that allows you to download new comic strips to your desktop and view them. Features include:

  • Easy to use interface, works like Apple’s Safari browser.
  • Subscribe to your favorite web comics, then collect the latest strips from them.
  • Easy to use tabs to flip between the comic you subscribe to.
  • Open architecture, supports plugins written in the Perl language
  • A plugin may return a single image or a whole set (such as from an archive page)
  • Windows sizes to fit the comic you’re viewing
  • Add strips you like to your Favorites. You can then add comments to them, and even find a strip based on your comments.
  • Drag-and-drop from iComic directly into other applications such as Mail.
  • Only downloads the strips if you are connected to the Internet — quite modem-friendly.

What’s New:
Version 3.0.3 is Panther compatible.
