Beat Direktor, a dashboard widget, is a small javascript app designed for video artists who work with music on a regular basis. All you do is enter the BPM (beats per minute, or tempo) of the song currently being used, the frame rate at which you are working at, and the beats per measure (generally 4 for pop music). Clicking the kompute button will tell you how many video frames there are per beat of music, measure, and 4 measures. Very handy for synching up animation and music!
