When you film a tv screen or monitor, the result often has a horizontal band scrolling down. This happens when the screen’s refresh speed is not tightly synchronized with the camera’s shutter speed. Band disturbance is an iMovie special effect that mimics that effect.

Use this plug whenever you want to simulate a filmed TV transmission or monitor.

Features

• Area of effect: define the area of the clip you want to be affected by the plug-in. all other parts or the clip remain untouched.
• Brightness: this slider controls if the disturbance is brighter or darker than the picture (and how much). you can go from -50% to +50%
• Severity: this controls how thick the band will appear.
• Speed: this slider controls how fast the disturbance moves down.
